Bartender

1. The ability to requisition, pick up, verify, and put away all requisitions for liquor, wine, beer, juices, soft drinks, and food items used for the bar areas. 2. The ability to offer guests of the lounge an enjoyable, expertly served beverage/dining experience conforming to Banyan Tree standards of excellence for quality, professionalism, and friendliness. 3. Stock the bar areas with liquor, wine, beer, juices, soft drinks, glassware, and condiments. 4. Develop a complete working knowledge of the menu items and their ingredients and preparation. 5. Develop a complete working knowledge of all products served by the bar, i.e. liquors, wines, beers, ports, Armagnacs, Eau de vies, cognacs, specialty drinks, etc. 6. Understand the menu and the daily specials as well as what is not available. 7. The ability to check and recheck the bar during service. 8. To ensure that all details of service are performed properly and that every guest receives the highest quality of service. 9. Utilize the hotel's computer system ringing up sales, printing checks, closing checks, and completing closing readings. 10. To ensure proper pouring, mixing, blending, etc. of drinks. 11. To service all drinks for the service bar area, guests, and the bar area. 12. To ensure proper service of all food items to bar guests. 13. Keep the bar area neat and tidy at all times clearing dishes and glassware whenever possible. 14.
