Position Summary The Team Leader is responsible for the assembly and testing of handheld, mobile and portable analyzers. The successful candidate must have a good understanding of equipment, processes, and procedures related to product manufacture. This individual will coordinate all the assembly activities to ensure they are completed in an efficient manner and key customer expectations are met. When the team leader is not engaging in team leading responsibilities, this position perform as a manufacturing assembly technician. Responsibilities Support the plant Operations manager to ensure proper scheduling and personnel coverage in assembly Lead manufacturing assembly activities to facilitate high quality and on-time delivery to our customers. Assure that all assembly team members follow established occupational safety rules, housekeeping, safety regulations, and SOPs. Supports training and cross-training efforts for team development Fully understand, troubleshoot and communicate production issues, mitigating downtime and waste Conduct root cause and employ corrective actions in response to identified production or quality issues When not engaging in team leading responsibilities, perform as a assembly technician. Assembles and/or installs various electrical or mechanical components where operation and sequence are specified by blueprints, wire lists, diagrams or previously established shop practices. Qualifications Education and Experience Minimum of AAS degree in electronics or mechanical technology or equivalent Previous experience as a lead electronic or mechanical technician preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of product manufacturing processes, fabrication, testing, processes and shop measurements. Ability to prioritize, organize, and delegate work within the assembly team. Fluent in written and spoken English Effective problem-solving skills, self-directed, organized, and flexible. Demonstrated knowledge of basic computer skills, familiar with Microsoft Office tools Familiar with common electronic test equipment such as digital multi-meter, oscilloscope, and power supplies. Proven ability in thru-hole and surface mount soldering. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbally and written). Self motivated while flexible and able to work well with others and as a team. Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast paced, high-tech environment. Proven attention to detail and concern for a high standard of quality.
