**The Role**:We are seeking a results-oriented and resourceful Buyer to join our dynamic team. The incumbent will play a vital role in optimizing our procurement process, securing high-quality products at competitive prices, and forging strong relationships with suppliers to ensure a reliable and cost-effective supply chain. You will leverage your strong negotiation skills, analytical abilities, and collaborative spirit to research, evaluate, and select trusted suppliers, negotiate advantageous terms, and ensure smooth collaboration throughout the procurement cycle.- Research and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, price, reliability and other specified criteria.- Select suppliers/ vendors based on quality, cost and delivery capabilities.- Negotiate terms, pricing and contracts with suppliers to achieve favorable terms for the company.- Generate purchase orders and ensure accuracy in product specifications, quantities and delivery dates.- Process requisitions accurately and efficiently, keeping stakeholders informed on the status of orders and potential risks or delays.- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure a reliable supply chain.- Coordinate with suppliers to confirm order details, proactively identify potential delays or issues and take corrective actions to prevent disruptions.- Collaborate with legal and procurement team to draft, review and finalize contracts with suppliers.- Monitor contract performance and address any deviations or non-compliance issues of suppliers in a timely manner.- Analyze cost structures and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.- Analyze market trends and competitor pricing to stay ahead of the curve and make informed purchasing decisions that maximize value.- Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives, such as vendors consolidation, volume discounts or alternative sourcing strategies.- Conduct supplier evaluations and performance reviews to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.- Address any supplier related issues or concerns promptly to ensure smooth operations.- Collaborate effectively with the inventory team, management, and stockroom personnel to ensure seamless communication and coordination.- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, orders and supplier communications.- Generate reports on procurement performance, delivery timelines, and inventory levels.**Qualification and Skills**:- Bachelor Degree in supply chain management, business management, business administration, or related field.- Proven experience in procurement and expediting roles.- Strong negotiation skills and ability to build effective supplier relationships.- Excellent organizational and time management skills.- Detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.- Effective communication and interpersonal skills- Analytical and problem-solving abilities- Knowledge of supply chain processes and best practices.- Ability to collaborate as a team.- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.- Good spoken language proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
