Category Manager

The category manager is responsible to lead country procurement category assigned. To develop, implement category strategy and to drive category cost saving efficiency.The role will be responsible to ensure standards of governance and compliance in the execution of all procurement activities are maintained.Responsibilities:-To develop and implement strategy for respective categorySupplier relationship managementContract negotiation, management & complianceIncrease contracted spend vs uncontracted spendCost optimization and savingsAnalyze, monitor and manage material cost drivers, key input cost, index movements, market trendsDevelop, implement and maintain risk mitigation planMonitor changes in legal requirement for import, storage, transportation or handling of respective category Improve sustainable and environmentally friendly sourcingTo conduct supplier auditsVerify and approve purchasing price of respective material with procurement operations teamRequirements:-Bachelor's degree from commercial or engineering related studiesProcurement & supply chain professional certificatePurchasing management experience in Manufacturing companyProven strategic sourcing and category management experienceAt NS BlueScope our success comes from our people.
