Coffee Trainee - Outlets (Starhill, Mid Valley

Promotes coffee consumption by educating customers; selling coffee and coffee grinding and brewing equipment, accessories, and supplies; preparing and serving a variety of coffee drinks, along with pastries and cookies- Welcomes customers by determining their coffee & drink interests and needs- Understands the drinks menu and is able to recommend drinks to customers- Educates customers by presenting and explaining the drink menu; answering questions- Prepares and sells coffee & drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques for coffee drinks, such as, espresso, espresso lungo, caffe latte, and cappuccino- Maintains inventories by replenishing coffee bean supply and maintaining supplies for other drinks- Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs- Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations- Improves quality results by studying, evaluating, and redesigning processes; implementing changes; maintaining and improving the appearance of the store and coffee bar- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading coffee, retail trade, and food service publications; maintaining personal networks- Assists in cashiering and serving customers from time to time- Completes any other ad hoc tasks as assigned by the Manager before/during/after shift**Requirements**:- High school diploma or equivalent- Experienced in food and beverage preparation or customer service preferred- Willingness to continue learning about food and beverage preparation- Possess exceptional listening and communication skills- Ability to walk, bend, and stand for extended periods- Availability to work around peak hours, including early mornings, weekends, and public holidays- Has a polite and engaging personality- Commitment to customer satisfaction and service excellence- Willingness to work as part of a high-energy, efficient team in a fast-paced environment- 5 days work per week- We have several outlets located at Starhill, Mid Valley Gardens, KLCC and Sunway Mall.**Job Types**: Full-time, ContractContract length: 12 months**Salary**: RM1,600.00 - RM2,000.00 per month**Benefits**:- Maternity leave- Opportunities for promotion- Professional developmentSchedule:- Day shift- Fixed shift- Rotational shift- Weekend jobs
