***To provide secretarial and administrative support to the Head of Department, Companies section. To deputise for Head of Department, in her absence. Any other task when assigned by the Firm's Partners, Associates, and Head of Department.Secretarial work:- Handle a portfolio of companies with minimum supervision from a superior.- To support the Head of Department in a wide range of secretarial and corporate duties.- To prepare notice and agenda of a meeting.- To attend meetings and assist in taking and preparing minutes of clients' meetings and follow up on action items after clients' board meetings (e.g., collation of attendance list, signing off minutes of previous meeting, etc.)- Assist with all statutory and regulatory compliance with authorities.- To maintain clients' statutory records and deal with clients' secretarial operations.- To support the Head of Department in training the other members of the Department on secretarial tasks.Administrative work:- Ensure proper recording of documents lodged with relevant authorities.- To assist and supervise secretarial and search clerks.- To conduct searches at the Companies Commission of Malaysia, Registrar of Societies, and Malaysia Co-operative Societies Commission.- Manage the reimbursement for searches conducted.**Job Requirement**- Qualified Company Secretary i.e., with a practicing certificate issued by the Companies Commission of Malaysia or Part ICSA / ICSA finalist.- Minimum 1 - 4 years of experience in company secretarial practice.- Ability to handle incorporation/registration of companies, advising clients on company secretarial procedures and the Companies Act, attending meetings, etc.- Ability to carry out standard secretarial work such as preparing standard resolutions and relevant forms for filing to the Companies Commission of Malaysia, etc.- Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, written and spoken.- Typing skills.- About SKRINEOn 1 May 1963, John Skrine and his like-minded partners Stanley Peddie, Peter Mooney, William Donald Bewsher and Chin Yoong Chong founded Skrine & Co, guided by the belief that integrity is the cornerstone of the practice of law.
