Job PurposeAs part of the Service Management team, the Configuration Management Analyst is responsible for the management of the Configuration Management process as defined as part of ITIL processes. The Configuration Management Analyst will work during normal business hours but shall be required to work outside business hours in some occasions so as to support Service Management team activities.RequirementsAssist the Configuration Manager in all aspects of Configuration Management.Contributes to define the structure of the configuration management system, CI types, naming conventions, required and optional attributes and relationships.Records and maintains CI(s) within scopes in the CMDB & to provide reliable and up-to-date details about the IT infrastructure that supports IT services.Produce and publish CMDB reports.Data remediation for CI(s) that are reported as failed in Data Quality KPI.Ensuring Configuration Management on a day-to-day basis by availability and responsive to queries and issues.Maintain and update Configuration Management documents and obtain approval(s).Analyze and resolve configuration issues in a timely manner.Work closely with stakeholders & CI Owners to create/maintain/retire CI in CMDB.Request source files from the stakeholders to perform data reconciliation activity.Training staff in configuration management principles, processes and procedures.Perform Configuration Management audits.Your ProfileProfile and QualificationsBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, or related field.Minimum of 3 years' experience in the IT industry, of which 2 years focusing on Configuration Management.Experience & proficient with ServiceNow and or leading service management tools and the CMDB of each.Problem-solving, critical thinking, and applying sound project management to assigned work.Excellent Management and communication skills.Proven track record of successful working directly with business and service managers.Sound understanding of Service Management and clear commitment to Service Management framework.Skilled at working collaboratively in a complex environment and driving performance achievement and improvements.ITIL v3 or v4 certification preferred.Cross cultural sensitivity, flexibility. Organized with a proven ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and utilize time effectively.Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to deal effectively with diverse skill sets and personalities, works effectively as a team player. Ability to function effectively in a matrix structure. Strong facilitation, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.Fluent in English and purposeful communication skills.
