We're seeking a Contracts Manager to help drive projects toward successful completion and oversee the complex and the everyday project tasks for Clients. This role will help you grow your career, but also grow client relationships and business development opportunities for Jacobs.Based here in Jacobs Malaysia, you'll be exhibiting excellent technical skills and team participation to help drive projects toward successful completion. Expansion of the role will include developing focus client relationship management through the life cycle of projects, to enable ongoing growth of the Transportation business across the region.**T**h**e primary responsibilities include**:- Delivering consultancy services for engineering contracts to achieve high client satisfaction- Consulting and advising clients on their procurement strategy, including processes, forms of contract, etc- Administering the prequalification of contractors for construction works, including consulting clients on their requirements, preparing prequalification documents, evaluating contractors' submissions and reporting to clients- Preparing contract documents including particular conditions of contract, bills of quantities, general specifications- Assisting and advising clients on permitting requirements- Administering the tendering of construction works including acting as tender secretary, tender evaluation, and reporting to clients- Preparation of cost estimates for construction works, both bottom-up and top-down- Facilitation of value engineering exercises, including leadership of workshops- Contract management including reviewing construction programmes, preparing contract instructions, reviewing progress payments, advising on contractors' time and money claims, certification etc..- Tracking and reporting of cost and schedule for construction works- Office-based support to site supervision teams- Mentoring and supporting engineers to raise their understanding of contractual matters**The secondary responsibilities include**:- Developing focus client relationship management through the life cycle of projects- Detailed discussions to scope out client's requirements and expectations through effective listening, summarizing, and questioning- Understanding Jacobs' market position and goals in Malaysia and the wider Southeast Asia region**Here's What You'll Need**:- Relevant degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying or Project Management- Accreditation with a Professional Body, in Engineering, Quantity Surveying or Project Management- **Significant relevant years of experience in managing Contracts for Maritime Works**:- be an effective listener, team player with commitment and dedication- have excellent presentation skills with high integrity/probity- Inspiring others through leading by exampleJacobs.
