With Brexit upon us, we are expanding our team and are on the look out to recruit two customs clearance clerks to process our Import and Export customs declarations to and from EU and RoW.Your duties will include:

Complete all aspects of customs clearance entries from start to finish for imports and exports, dealing with various modes of transport – Sea, Air and Road.
Ensure all customs clearance declarations are submitted in a timely and accurate manner.
Co-ordinate the customs between the customer and internal function
Monitor the clearance status of shipments.
You will deal with all queries quickly and efficiently and build good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Support and advice customers on all international import / export requirements especially with new processes brought upon by Brexit.
Update and maintain reference logs for customers
Maintain accurate filing and archiving records
Audit and check entries completed
To ensure the company is fully compliant with the requirements of HMRC and other relevant bodies.
Complete all billing as required with the internal system

The ideal candidate will have:
An understanding of the importance of attention to detail.
A flexible hands on approach to work and willing to complete a variety of tasks.
Ability to work to strict deadlines and under pressure.
Ability to work within a team and on own initiative.
Passion for keeping up to date and informed of developments within customs clearance regulations and news.
Experience in a customs clearance role (however, additional training will be given)
Experience of a freight forwarding and fast paced environment
Experience with Cargowise would be an advantage (however, training will be given)
