**Responsibility & Requirements**----------------------------- Installing and maintaining Oracle database software.Installing and maintaining Microsoft SQL Server database software.Installing and maintaining IBM DB2 database software.Installing and maintaining MySQL database software.Installing and maintaining GaussDB database software.Creating storage database structures with high-level security features.Altering storage structures to meet the evolving needs of the organisation.Setting up database user accounts.Training users on how to access the information in the database.Finding and debugging malfunctioning programs affecting the database integrity.Creating autonomous database backups.Take ownership of performance and capacity monitoring aspects of the DBExecution of data migration jobs and scripts as requiredAssist the infrastructure team in sizing hardware used for the DBEnsure SLA's & operational KPI's are met, working as necessary with internal and external support functions when major incidents occurTo perform database and host operating system security patching and configuration as required.Regularly updating the database security protocols.Ideally Oracle Certified DB Professional (OCP) with more than 5 years' experience with Oracle.Good knowledge in Oracle 11g,12c and 21c architectureExperience with Oracle Golden gateStrong practical experience of ORACLE in a production RAC (ASM) environment.Configure and maintain database clustering for HADR solution covering IBM DB2.Knowledge of MySQL high availability solutions like MySQL Replication, MySQL Group Replication, and MySQL InnoDB Cluster.Knowledge of SQL Server high availability solutions like AlwaysOn Availability Groups and SQL Server Failover Clustering.In-depth knowledge and experience with GaussDB, including understanding different versions and editions (e.g., GaussDB for OLTP, GaussDB for OLAPKnowledge of GaussDB's high availability solutions for ensuring database availability and resilience.Understanding of GaussDB's backup and restore strategies for disaster recoveryExperience in zero down time migrationsExperience should include DB design (modelling and normalisation), capacity planning, performance tuning, storage management, back-up and recovery, managing schemas, report generation and DB clustering technologies.Able to operate Oracle, MS Sql Server, IBM DB2 and Mysql management tools (Data Guard, RMAN, Data pump, SSMS, IBM DSC, etc ).Experience in analyzing AWR,ADDM and ASH reportsArchitecture design principles and best practices.Good problem solver, focused and dedicated developer with ability to work on your own as well as with a team.Analyze and Optimize database performance such as indexing, partitioning, performance reporting.Familiarity with Services for ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and Reporting Services for report generationOperating system experience in Linux and Windows.Preferable to have certification comparable to MCSA, RHCSA or similar**Key Qualifications**------------------------------ 4-5 years of working experiences as DBADegree or master holder in Information Technology, Computer Science or relevant fieldsMust be a self-starter with a strong attention to detail.MUST be mobile, able to visit various sites across Malaysia.MUST be able to support operations such as migration, disaster recovery, purging and others.MUST be able to work weekends and after office hours with short notice.Able to be standby and on-call for any database issue.Must be a self-starter with a strong attention to detail.MUST be mobile, able to visit various sites across Malaysia.MUST be able to support operations such as migration, disaster recovery, purging and others.MUST be able to work weekends and after office hours with short notice.Able to be standby and on-call for any database issue.**Salary**: RM3,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month**Benefits**:- Parental leaveSchedule:- Monday to FridayAbility to commute/relocate:- Bukit Jalil: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)**Education**:- Bachelor's (preferred)**Experience**:- zero down time migrations: 1 year (preferred)- DB Design: 1 year (preferred)- analyzing AWR, ADDMN & ASH reports: 1 year (preferred)- Microsoft SQL Server: 1 year (preferred)- Oracle 11g, 12c, 21c: 1 year (preferred)
