Depot Container Surveyor

Responsible for off-hire inspection / surveying cargo by performing the following duties. 1.   Inspection of general appearance and conformity to contractual specification which to carry out damage surveys, condition surveys, repair surveys and cleanliness; 2.   Judgments based on inspection check list and record all impact and other operational damage, as well as wear and tear to identify need for maintenance and to determine if container meets client expectations and requirements; 3.   Document results of survey to customer, including breakdown of all adjustments; 4.   Collaborate with M&R Administrative Team to determine specific grade requirements and to determine the most cost-effective next step for the container; 5.   Take photos and document findings to produce a report; 6.   Adheres to internal standards, policies, and procedures.ICS Depot was established in 2002 and has since developed into the highest ranked depot in terms of throughput in Peninsular Malaysia with facilities in areas connected to the port including Penang, Port Klang and Pasir Gudang as these places are often more convenient to most merchants. ICS Depot operates empty container depot which is a facility where box operators and leasing companies keep their empty container inventory and, in some countries, they are commonly referred to as an empty container park. It is a facility where the merchants are required to drop off the carriers' equipment after devanning their imported goods. The facility also conducts inspection surveys of boxes returning to the depot on behalf of the container carrier in order to enable the carrier to approve maintenance and repair work required on the box as well as to substantiate damage recovery claims from the merchant. The depot also prepares the incoming box for export use and subsequent empty pick-up by the exporters.SPM / O Level / SKM Level 1 / SKM Level 2 / SKM Level 3 or Equivalent
