Deputy General Manager - Oleochemicals

Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group’s Industrial Division is partnered with a MNC that manufactures oleochemicals. Our esteemed client focuses on manufacture of oleochemicals for various application such as industrial, food ingredients, personal care, biofuel, and agriculture.The successful applicant will be shadowing the General Manager, looking to succeed him within 3 years. Applicant must have experience in manufacture and processing of upstream and downstream oleochemicals.Job responsibilities:Responsible for the overall performance of several process plants.Lead, motivate and manage the related team.Ownership on key plant targets (throughput, cost, quality and reliability).Drive continuous improvement on production activity and process improvement initiatives.Responsible for the day-to-day production operation.Enforce good discipline and high standards of work performance among the team.Take an active role in setting and meeting SSHE targets.Provide support to S&M by hosting customer visits and audits, and providing technical inputs.Job requirements:At least 15 year(s) working experience in manufacturing of oleochemicals, petrochemicals or specialty chemicals using bio-ingredients. At least 8 years management experience.Candidates shall have degree in engineering or science. Chemical Engineering or Chemistry is preferred.Committed and has high level of integrity.Proven track record of strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.Good written and verbal communication skills in both Bahasa Malaysia and English.Able to work and communicate effectively with internal and external parties.
