Design Engineer

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for firmware architecture development of IoT products
- Perform design, code reviews and recommend improvements
- Validate the system to check its functionality, and ensure that it is running and operating smoothly
- Evaluate the performance of the system and troubleshoot issues if any
- Prepare products specifications and define full product behaviour with state diagram
- Breakdown of state diagram into modular design for code reusability & test planning
- Design, test and implement analog/digital circuit, component selection and schematic capture
- Simulate and ensure that circuit design meet specification
- PCB layout, built prototype, characterise and verify that actual hardware meet performance requirements, process & safety guidelines
- Documentation, BOM and support design transition with test plan for manufacturing
- Work closely with other engineers on technical and design issue
Requirements
- Candidate must possess at least Diploma / Bachelor's Degree / Master in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic/Electromechanical/Computer Engineering), or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years technical experience
- Proficient in C/C++ for Embedded controller such as 8-bit/16-bit/ ARM Cortex microcontrollers.
- Experience in schematic capture and PCB layout using Eagle EDA Software
- Experience in designing circuit that works with embedded hardware (MCU, Memory, LCD driver) and analog circuitry (RF Chipset, SMPS, Signal Conditioning, Cap Sense, Analog Sensor)
- Experience in using lab and test equipment such as digital oscilloscopes, RF Spectrum Analyzer, Network Analyzer, Logic Analyzer to perform test verification activities
- Knowledge of other devices/standards such as UART, SPI, I2C, SD
- Knowledge in Design for Testability
- Required language(s): English
