We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our HSBC Amanah team in the role of Director, Head of Amanah Global Banking & Head of Sukuk Structuring, working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets. Principal Responsibilities Maintain 'Trusted Advisor' relationship and access at key decision maker level for assigned clients, with a proactive and regular calling programme with the Treasurers and C-suite of your key clients. Co-ordinate origination and execution of activities across the spectrum of Global Banking & Markets products/service. Drive achievement against targets for revenue generation, product alignment, customer satisfaction and cost containment Combine client relationship management with strong risk assessment and management capabilities ensuring the required credit quality and requisite returns on risk. Identify event driven opportunities on an opportunistic basis, bringing in sector/country expertise as appropriate, working closely and proactively with other teams. Maintain HSBC's position as the leading international Sukuk and Islamic Financing House, and assist in the delivery of HSBC's growth strategy in the Asia Pacific region for Islamic Financing Appropriate provision of structuring advice to regional DCM teams and clients of Islamic financing transactions in compliance with Shariah requirements Supporting regional DCM teams in engagements with rating agencies in respect of Sukuk structure and documentation Grow HSBC's share of client wallet involving product specialists to ensure product capabilities are in line with client/sector requirements. Understand and ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business which includes Supporting regional DCM teams in engagements with regulatory authorities in respect of market development initiatives, origination activities or execution matters related to Islamic / Shariah matters. Maintain HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators. Where leadership responsibilities are assigned, lead the client management sector team to achieve team's business objectives and ensure ongoing development of all team members. Actively promote, manage, train, develop and assess all members of the team within assigned area of responsibility. Requirements Possess a minimum of 7 years banking experience with exposure to corporate credit and lending or business and financial analysis or corporate recovery and restructuring. Possess strong credit evaluation, marketing, and sales management skills. Passionate and with a strong commercial and business sense. Sound general banking, corporate banking, and capital market knowledge. Possesses good analytical skills and the ability to work well under pressure. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong in project management, planning and organisational skills. Internet savvy and strong PC literacy skills. A highly accountable individual and team player with an energetic and flexible working style.
