Director, United Nations University International Institute For Global Health (Unu-Iigh)

Location: Kuala Lumpur, MalaysiaStart Date: July to December 2024. Application deadline: 31 May 2024. The Position: The Director will ensure that UNU-IIGH contributes to important policy debates within the UN and its Member States based on a thorough understanding of global health issues. The Director is responsible for providing strategic visioning, guaranteeing scientific excellence, building partnerships, and increasing the impact of UNU-IIGH in global health policy spaces. UNU is looking for a dynamic individual with a strong academic and management background who can lead a diverse team of experts; build partnerships with think tanks, universities, the private sector, and other UN entities; and produce worldclass policy-relevant analyses, convene dialogues, and support capacity building, particularly in the Global South. Qualifications: MD, PhD, MA, MSc, or MPhil degree in public health, global health, or a related field. The successful candidate will have strong networks and a distinguished record of research and policy engagement in global health. They will also have a track record of significant resource mobilisation for international projects and donor relations management at senior levels. Demonstrated management experience is required. Fluency in English is required.
