Dive Boat Captain duties, safely operate the dive vessel keeping passengers, crew, and vessel from harm; strong communication skills that enable you to connect easily with guests and crew members; facilitate all paperwork necessary for the operation of diving activities and boat; and adhering to all international maritime regulations.**Responsibilities**:- Prepare the boats and ensure that all appropriate supplies, food, and dive equipment are onboard prior to departure.- Provide an informative, but entertaining briefing on the safety and convenience features of the vessel- Embark & disembark customers and crew safely.- Ensure that all persons are accounted for throughout the entire charter particularly after any in-water activities.- Operate the vessels in a manner, which is safe for both the vessel itself and the passengers on board.- Maneuver the boats with extreme caution and courtesy while around other vessels and shoreline ocean users, at dive sites, or in anchorages & harbors.- Provide an enjoyable and relaxed environment for our guests by assisting them with both their equipment and their dive skills.- Provide surface support and supervision for divers & snorkelers.- Ensure that the company minimizes its impact on the ocean environment by its own actions and the actions of its customers.- Increase income by selling classes & services to our current and prospective customers.- Clean boats thoroughly after each trip.- Respond to incidents and accidents that might require the use of rescue techniques, first aid, administration of oxygen and/or medical evacuation.- Treat all customers and employees with respect, courtesy, and a friendly attitude.The above duties are a guide to the nature of work required and are not intended all the tasks associated with the role. Incumbent maybe required to perform any other duties as and when assigned by Management from time to time.**Requirements**:- Has **PADI Professional** who is willing and interested in doing both diving and driving- Have experiences at least **5 - 8 years in marine and diving operations.**:- **Standards of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping (STCW) certificate.**:- Possess any related safety and medical certificate such as Basic Fire Fighting, Basic Water Survival, Basic Social Responsibility and Basic First Aid.- Have a valid **Seaman Card** and valid **Medical Certificate** issued by an Accredited Medical Practitioner by the Marine Department of Malaysia.- Obtained a Certificate of Competency as Mate on Ships of Less Than 500 Gross Tonnage on domestic trade voyages and Master of 500GT Domestic Trade Voyage.- **Able to work at Kuala Besut, Terengganu**.- Must have unfaltering good manners, be well always spoken and presentable. Be the first to greet guests when they board into the ferry.- Dive Boat Captain must be a good listener and observer, and must have an analytical mind.
