The Document Controller cum Technical Writer is responsible for creating, organizing, and maintaining technical documentation within the IT industry. This role involves producing and maintaining high-quality written materials that are accessible to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, accurate, consistent, and up to date.The role also requires managing document control processes, including version control, distribution, and access management.**Job Type**: Full TimeSchedule: Monday - Friday (8.30 am -5.30 pm)Location: Kuching**Key Responsibilities**:1.** Document Creation & Maintenance**:Create, maintain, and review technical documents, including manuals, user guides, system documentation, project documentation, reports, and forms.2. **Document Organization**:Establish and maintain a structured document repository, library, or wiki.Implement document version control to track changes and revisions.Categorize and organize documents for easy retrieval and access.3. **Document Consolidation**:Assist project team to consolidate documents after project completionCompile, review and enhance project document collection for future projects4. Document Distribution:Manage and execute the distribution of documents to authorized personnel.Control access to sensitive or proprietary documents.5.** Quality Assurance**:Review and edit documents for clarity, consistency, and adherence to industry standards.Ensure that all technical documentation meets the organization's policies, quality, and compliance standards.6. **Meeting Support**Schedule project meetings, coordinate calendars, and send out meeting invitations.Take accurate meeting minutes and distribute them to attendees.7.** Internal Support**Participate in special projects and assignments as assigned by the management, aimed at developing skills and competencies necessary for potential advancement within the organization.**Qualification**:- Bachelor's Degree in a related or relevant field (Office Management, Administration, Computer Science, Information Management, Electronic Engineering) is preferred;- Strong knowledge of software development processes, terminology, and methodologies;- Proficiency in document management software and tools.- Attention to detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.- Preferably more than 1 year of experience as a document controller or technical writer, with a focus on engineering, software development or project related documentation.- Willing and able to travel as required.**Preferred Skills**:- Proficiency in Mandarin language (reading, writing, and speaking) is an added advantage.- Proficiency in managing and coordinating multiple document projects simultaneously.- Able to quickly adapt to new concepts and technologies rapidly.- Familiarity with document syntax standards such as Markdown.- Familiarity with relevant regulatory and compliance requirements.
