Equipment Inspection Specialist

Check and inspect equipment and/or equipment components to ensure they meet production project requirementsCheck mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies for alignment and proper functioningTest and check electrical assemblies and wiring for proper connections (on equipment)Perform minor adjustments and repairsPrepare reports and notify appropriate people of equipment problems and deficienciesEnsure compliance with codes and standardsTo determine extent of production, replacement, or modification required to maintain or improve efficiency of installationInspects work being performed during construction or modification to determine compliance with specifications.Examine voltage reports and load tests on equipment to ensure power and circuits' adequacy.Prepare reports on investigations or inspections and actions taken.Issue notices and recommend corrective actions when infractions or problems are found.Examine carrier operating rules, employee qualification guidelines, or carrier training and testing programs for compliance with regulations or safety standards.Investigate and make recommendations on carrier requests for waiver of federal standards.Examine transportation vehicles, equipment, or systems to detect damage, wear, or malfunction.Conduct equipment tests, using diagnostic equipment.Inspect repairs to equipment to ensure that repair work was performed properly.Train and evaluate local junior engineers to ensure that they are aware of the specifications of the equipment required.Company Vision To be the world's leading papermaking enterprise that is resource-intensive, environmentally friendly, and respected by the society.Bachelor's or Equivalent
