Human Resource & TrainingGeneral Administration- Maintain an effective filing system for proper maintenance of all human resources documentation- To update and maintain employee's information in the KaizenHR & HR 2000 system- To provide monthly management reports or assigned reports when required- To maintain good working relationship and practice open communication with colleagues and staff of other departments- To respond to changes in the Human Resources functions dictated by the industry, company, or management from time to time- To undertake any other ad-hoc assignment as assigned from time to time by the superior or ManagementManpower Planning, Budget, Recruitment & Selection- To assist with the overall recruitment and manpower planning process for the group and to ensure that this process is according to the Company's rules and procedures- To liaise with proper job agencies and media representatives when there is a need to advertise and to coordinate internal vacancies advertisementsAppraisal, Compensation, Welfare and Benefits- To assist in the building of an efficient team of employees by taking an active interest in their welfare, benefits, safety and career development- To ensure a strong, creative and effective employee communications system within the group to keep employees informed on all human resources activities- To assist in preparing and coordinating annual performance appraisals and to arrange relevant information for annual salary adjustments (where applicable)- Assist to coordinate with insurance companies and statutory bodies for employees' insurance and medical claims and maintain close rapport with the accredited panel clinics/hospitals- Responsible to assist with the administration of the day-to-day operations of the human resources functions and dutiesEmployee Relations- Be directly involved in staff appreciation and disciplinary issues to ensure high level of motivation and compliance to company policies- Assist to coordinate and implement all staff recognition and appreciation programmes to encourage improvement and retention- Ensure that all employees have a complete understanding and access to the company's Handbook, its policies and procedures (ICP) and standing instructions (SI)- Maintain effective discipline and good industrial relations at all timesTraining- Liaise with professional bodies, training institutions and consultants to source and develop appropriate programmes; when required- Ensure a smooth process on all training requests (from registration of participants to arrangement of payment) and update the training record list when necessary- To assist, develop and deliver in-house training and orientation programmes where applicable based on the needs of the company and the GroupB. CommunicationsCopywriting, Proofreading & Translation- Required to do translations, editing, copywriting and proofreading as and when requested- Required to write speeches, press releases, announcements, etc. in English or Bahasa Malaysia as and when requested by the Chairman, CEO or any of the Senior Managers within the Group as and when requestedEvent Organising- Required to organise or assist in all events organised by MAA and Melewar Group or its subsidiaries- Required to prepare speeches, press releases, invitations to the press and ensure their attendance during the eventPress & Media Relations- Responsible in ensuring strong media relations between MAA and Melewar group of companies and the rest of the media/ Editors of the press- Responsible in ensuring all press releases & press invitations are fazed over to the relevant media / newspapers for their further action and follow-up when necessaryPromotion & PR Activities- To assist the Communications Department in promotional activities such as planning, special ad hoc projects, sourcing of premium items for corporate giveaways and souvenirs**Requirements**:- Recognised Degree in Human Resource Management or its equivalent.- At least 1-2 years of working experience in the related field.- Sound knowledge of the Employment Act, Industrial Relations Act, Labour laws and prevailing HR practices and legislation in Malaysia.- Able to work independently, good team player with effective time management skills- Strong communication skills; written and verbal in English and Bahasa Malaysia.- Proficiency in KaizenHR & HR 2000 system is an added advantage- Good organisational and analytical skills; able to work in a fast p
