Job Summary Responsible for supporting the strategic planning, design, and management of MCMC's Data Centre, Servers, and Storage for secure ICT services by assisting in implementing robust security protocols across all operational facets. This includes supporting the establishment of physical and environmental safeguards, backup procedures, and disaster recovery strategies to ensure uninterrupted operations and asset protection.
Job Responsibilities 1) Supports in overseeing security measures within the data centre environment, including
physical security, environmental controls, and access control systems. Assists in developing and enforcing security policies and procedures to safeguard data centre assets and ensure compliance with regulations. Aids in managing access control systems, including authentication mechanisms and biometric systems.
2) Assist in managing security measures for server and storage infrastructure, safeguarding
against unauthorized access, data breaches, and cyber threats. Implement security controls like encryption, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and vulnerability assessments. Monitor server and storage systems for suspicious activities and promptly respond to security incidents.
3) Supports backup and replication processes to maintain data integrity, availability, and
recoverability in disaster scenarios. Develops and tests disaster recovery plans to minimize
downtime and data loss. Collaborates with stakeholders to identify critical data, prioritize recovery objectives, and establish backup schedules.
4) Supports the design and implementation of security measures for virtualized environments to mitigate risks. Configures virtualization platforms with security controls like network segmentation and firewalls. Conducts security assessments to address virtualization-related risks.
5) Supports the development of comprehensive security strategies aligned with organizational goals. Conducts risk assessments and analyses to identify security gaps and prioritize initiatives. Collaborates with stakeholders to define security objectives and allocate resources effectively.
6) Supports vendor management activities by ensuring compliance with security standards and contractual obligations. Evaluate vendor security practices and conduct assessments to assess risks and alignment with organizational requirements.
7) Facilitate the management of the security budget and update the yearly budget utilization to meet departmental KPIs, prioritizing investments in security measures, and achieving cost savings.
Job Requirement Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Management, Computer Science or other related disciplines with a minimum CGPA of 3.00 from a reputable University/College. Minimum 0 to 3 years of working experience in a similar environment is an added advantage. Proficient in managing multiple security projects simultaneously. Establishes security processes for consistent service levels and proactive issue identification. Supports infrastructure standardization with best practice security strategies. Demonstrates strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in security environments. Effectively communicates technical security matters and cultivates relationships with stakeholders and vendors. Multi-task, work independently, and work under pressure with minimum supervision.
