Executive, Purchasing

Develop and maintain good relationship with supplier and internal stakeholders. - Responsible in raw material and semi-finished parts purchases. - Developing suitable product plan proposal and price assortment strategy that delivers profit to the company. - Monthly meeting with Plant Material Management team to forecast a balanced quantity of products/material to purchase. - Negotiating cost prices, orders, delivery method, shipping and payment terms with local and overseas suppliers. - Maintain Purchase Orders and Ensure on-time and accurate submission of orders to suppliers. - Coordinating shipment delivery, tracking containers and preparing related documents for clearance purposes. Familiar with forwarding, land transport services network and major shipper terms and conditions. - Familiar with importation of products, local customs and MITI requirements. - Meeting with internal stakeholders and vendors to discuss new developments, defective or unacceptable goods or services and determine corrective actions to be followed through. - Conduct audits to suppliers to access capabilities and competencies to meet product requirement and their adherence to Procurement policies and guidelines. - Deliver on year cost savings. - Able to travel as required to supplier site and overseas.APM is a Malaysian Automotive Parts Manufacturer that has expanded to become a major regional supplier and now to global markets.
