Location: Selangor, Malaysia #LI-HybridAbout this role: The Financial Controls & Compliance (FC&C) Manager has the oversight of NFCM related activities (internal and outsourced) for the country. This includes awareness of internal and external regulations (incl. SOX requirements) to align with. Ensure SOX 404 sign-off by NOCC KL/country management without significant deficiencies or material weaknesses. Provide deliverables according to NFCM schedule and coordinate with NOCC, Divisions and Outsourcing providers (O&O) on establishing and maintaining an adequate control environment. Follow and implement global finance process improvement initiatives, sharing leading practices.Key Responsibilities: •Manages transitions and critical deliverables as well as final sign-off on readiness assessment. Monitors and manages project progress. •Sets objectives for compliance team, ensuring alignment with NOCC strategy and communicate to all staff and key customers. •Operational oversight to provide services at expected levels with a clear customer focus. •Provides functional advices to the compliance team. •Ensure two-way communication with key stakeholders to ensure integration, efficiency/effectiveness of the compliance delivery across all countries. Liaison with stakeholders, including CFOs, IA, ext. Audit and Global Financial Controls & Compliance (GFC&C). Provide all required NFCM deliverables according to the communicated schedule. Liaison/coordination with Divisions and O&O, including obtaining/providing sub-certifications, testing etc. Stakeholder management in country, NOCC and Global/ Regional to ensure adequate consensus for initiatives and projects.•Operational oversight to provide services at expected levels with a clear customer focus, including handling the exceptions. Provides functional guidance to the team members. Interacts proactively within FRA and Divisions to ensure accurate accounting, and financial reporting. Resolve all raised issues and disputes.•Collaborates with key partners, including accounting authorities/auditors•Serves as a Subject Matter Expert for related policies and processes•Act as System Key User Lead and actively initiate and participate in improvements to sustain a highly effective and efficient process, and realize cost reduction opportunities including areas to standardize processes to optimize investments made in global ERP/SAP systems and financial services
