Food Content Writer

**The Role**:Can you differentiate one food trend from another? Or suss out the hidden local food gems no one has heard of. Crafting social media images/captions are also part of the job as a holistic digital media creator. Photos have to be of great quality to be published, and all formatting and grammar should be up-to-par. The work we do is neither a corporate 9-5 job, nor a childcare facility; applicants need to be passionate about food, motivated, adventurous, have self-discipline and be serious in developing their professional work skills and ethics.**The Culture**:We work hard, play hard. Some of us have mild-alcoholism as well.**Responsibilities**:- Contribute F&B story ideas, finding new viral content angles- Attending adhoc food events- Adhering to SEO rules of writing content- Keeping track of article view performance and suggestions to improve- Ensuring writing and photography are professionally executed- Maintaining a constant flow of organic and client articles- Crafting effective social media captions and article titles- Fast turnaround of news-related articles, including weekends if news drops then- Providing guidance to new writers/interns (Add in for senior writer)**Key Qualifications**:- A recognised Diploma/ Bachelor's Degree in Literature/ Mass Communications or equivalent- You're a foodie - Good knowledge and exposure to local food culture and heritage- 1-2 years of proven work experience as a publication writer or similar role- Good photographic eye- Perfect grammar and spelling- Experience doing research using multiple sources- Creativity to think of eye-catching headlines- Familiarity with web publications- Excellent writing and editing skills in English- Ability to meet tight deadlines in digital media space**Salary**: From RM3,000.00 per month**Benefits**:- Dental insurance- Flexible schedule- Health insurance- Parental leave- Vision insuranceSchedule:- Monday to FridayApplication Question(s):- Are you able to eat and visit non-halal places?- Are you familiar with web publications?**Experience**:- Writing: 2 years (preferred)**Language**:- English (preferred)
