Due to a recent reorganisation, a Regional Financial Institution is recruiting for a Head of IT Security job to join their digital transformation journey.
About the Head of IT Security Role:
This role is responsible for the Information security function in an international business unit. In this role, you will manage the personnel and resources required to ensure the operational integrity of the business unit information technology infrastructure. Reporting directly to the CTO, you will manage an existing team of Security officers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, test and review information security policy and processes. Review security risk analysis periodically
- Monitor compliance with the organisation's security policies and procedures
- Supervise and monitor the information security compliance activities in meeting legislation and accreditation standards – Serves as an information security consultant to the organisation
- Evaluate risks, threats and propose mitigation plans
- Create security awareness and promotes security awareness within the organisation
- Prepare and respond to IT security breach
- Monitor external vendors are in compliance with the company security standards
- Attend to regulators and audit requirements
- Keep abreast of the latest threat and security issues, identify weaknesses, recommend improvements and document upgrades
- Manage resources under security team
- Establish an effective communication plan with the project team and the users to communicate information concerning security
- Review systems and infrastructure setup are conforming to security standards To succeed in this Head of IT Security role, you must have the ability to lead effectively and a keen understanding of the current security landscape. With the ability to articulate strategy to IT team, Senior management team and the board members, you will take the lead in all IT Security related matters.
Key Requirements:
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Computing or other related discipline
- Must have at least eight years working experience in managing IT Security Management in Financial Services Industry, with at least five years in managerial capacity
- Assertive and can communicate effectively across all levels
- Abilityto work under pressure and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced business environment
- Dynamic, analytical and meticulous
- A proactive individual with good initiative and drive, resourceful and creative
- Self-motivated and a hands-on leader and a good team player
