Overview The HR Generalist will be responsible for partnering with local leadership teams to create and implement HR programs and initiatives in line with Global HR strategy (for the region). To be an advisor to leadership and employees and act as implementer for all HR programs across location. We are looking for someone with experience supporting APAC countries as: Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, or Philippines. Responsibilities To coach and support end users of the HR systems and processesSupport new hire and termination processes ensuring managers comply with company requirements to include new employee orientation and on-boarding and conducting exit interviewsAssist with delivering various human resource plans and procedures, assisting in development and implementation of HR policies and proceduresParticipate in developing department goals, objectives and systemsDesign and develop initiatives and programs to support our people strategy and core valuesWork proactively with managers to identify key drivers for absenteeism, turnover and poor performanceImprove performance and organizational effectiveness by analysing department structures and evaluating options that will best meet business needsAdminister the compensation program, monitor and support performance evaluation and employee recognition programs as requiredManage employee relations counselling and investigations as required, representing HR at related meetings and hearingsMaintain compliance with company policies and procedures as well as employment laws Qualifications Proven experience of min. 3 years as HR Generalist, within a dynamic service or IT environmentFluency in English and JapaneseExcellent communicator who is used to dealing with people at different levels within an international organizationStrong sense of accountability and qualityHands-on with a strategic mindsetProficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Knowledge of Business Etiquette and Practices in Japan: Understanding of formalities, greetings, nonverbal communication, and cultural nuances specific to Japanese business settings.
