Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Interpreter & Translator to assist in recording meeting notes in Japanese and translating them accurately into English. Additionally, this role will involve preparing various business documents, ensuring precision and clarity in translation while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. Responsibilities: Attend meetings, seminars, and discussions as an interpreter, accurately interpreting spoken content from Japanese to English, and vice versa. Record comprehensive meeting notes in Japanese and provide precise English translations for reference and documentation. Translate various business-related documents such as reports, emails, memos, presentations, and other materials from Japanese to English and vice versa. Ensure cultural nuances and context are accurately conveyed in translations to maintain the original meaning. Collaborate with teams to ensure translated documents meet company standards and are free of errors. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. Support other language-related tasks and provide linguistic assistance as needed. Requirements Fluency in Japanese (native or near-native proficiency) and an excellent command of English, both written and spoken. Proven experience as an Interpreter & Translator, preferably in a business or corporate environment. Exceptional interpreting and note-taking skills during meetings and discussions. Strong translation skills with an emphasis on accuracy, attention to detail, and clarity in English documents. Familiarity with business terminology and documentation. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage deadlines effectively. Proficiency in translation tools, software, and office applications. Professional demeanor, adaptability, and cultural sensitivity. Relevant certifications or qualifications in translation or interpretation are advantageous.
