About The RoleWe are looking for an Investments Analyst, Strategic Development based in Kuala Lumpur to help us on this journey. We have a large portfolio of companies that we invest in at an early stage. You will understand their market opportunities, business models, growth strategies, positioning and use that to guide them to unlock their fundraising success. In doing so, you will help maximise the net asset value of our portfolio by shining a light on the things they need to see to maximise the returns we expect to see. You'll help the team assess if a company is on or off track, and help craft investment memos to drive our follow-on investment decision. Corporate financiers, investment bankers, and financial analysts who know their numbers and can frame their ideas in a clear and concise manner should apply.Job DescriptionConduct research and analysis on follow on investment opportunities within our portfolio, including market research, financial analysis, and due diligencePrepare investment memorandums and presentations, with guidance, on follow on investment opportunities for deliberation at our Investment Committee meetingsMonitor and evaluate portfolio performance on a continuous basis and provide updates to investments teamStrategise, facilitate and acquire downstream capital for portfolio companiesPerform ad hoc financial and strategic analysis to drive decision making for the team and for our portfolio companiesCollaborate closely with founders of portfolio companies, providing strategic guidance, mentorship, and support to help them achieve the growth and business objectives we set out with them to maximise the value of their companies, and the returns on our portfolio as a wholeIdentify and execute on strategic partnerships for portfolio companies with governmental agencies, corporates and other relevant ecosystem players, where relevantProvide general in-house consulting and fundraising services for portfolio companiesExecute on M&A and other exit initiatives to realise the value of our investments in the portfolio companiesRequirementsBachelor's Degree with at least 2 years of proven relevant experience (in corporate finance advisory, VC, private equity firm, investment bank, or a strongly related role) with a demonstrated track record of contributions to successful investments and/or strategic project executionSuperior project management capabilitiesProven ability in organizing workflows, taking robust notes, working independently within tight deadlines, and collaborating across teams with limited supervisionExceptional written and verbal communication skills, where production and presentation of data and initiatives are concise and compelling for capital providers and partnersStrong analytical and financial analysis skills, with experience using Excel, and other financial analysis toolsFamiliarity with valuation techniques and financial modeling is strongly encouragedContinuously monitor portfolio performance for internal and external stakeholdersAssist in managing relationships with other investors and stakeholders in our portfolio companiesIntellectually curious with strong critical thinking skills and business senseComfortable managing multiple projects across a wide variety of functional business problemsCreativity and comfortable with 'blank sheet of paper' assignments.
