JR47613 IT ENGINEER, SYSTEM MANAGER R esponsibilities and Tasks: You will work regularly with Micron's Business Units to ensure solutions meet or exceed business requirements. You will be expected to suggest, promote, and leverage published standards to minimize environment complexity and ensure regulatory as well as license compliance. You will have the opportunity to travel to other Micron sites as well as technology conferences and trainings.
Job Responsibility: ProvideL2supportin incident,request, changeandproblemmanagementrelated to server and DB operations in Windows and Unixoperating systems. Provide operational support covering 24/7 and participate in Major incidents. EnsureSLA for incidents and service requests are met with high quality of work. Ensure critical metrics, such as breach case target, MTTR and first level resolution target is met. Install and upgrade firmware for hardware and operating systems, apply patches andimplement changes when required. Diagnose and resolve OS/hardware errors ensuring high availability of MFG systems. Monitor server performance proactivelyand perform analysis of cases to prevent recurring issues. Review and improve server monitoring when required. Develop processes and operation procedures related to server operations. Build and manage reports, visualizations, and dashboards related to windows/unix operations. Perform capacity planning and participate in DisasterRecovery drill. Work with Subject Matter experts (Level 3) for improvement projects to ensure security, availability, performance, interoperability and reliability of Micron's core computing resources. Requirement: Bachelor'sor Master'sdegree Computer Science, Electrical & Electronics/Computer/SoftwareEngineering, Information Systems or relatedfields. Academic know-how or internship experiences in the Infrastructure domain of IT (Microsoft Windows 2019, 2016 and RHEL operating systems, Microsoft SQL and Oracle) and virtualizationtechnologies Desire to learn hardware and virtualization technologies like Cisco UCS, HPE ProLiant, VMware, Nutanix, Openshift andCitrix Certifications from Microsoft, VMWare, Citrix and Cisco and familiarity with scripting languages will be an added advantage Knowledge in programmingand scriptinglanguages such as Java,PowerShelland Pythonis preferred Effective oral and writtencommunicationskills Flexible to work on any shift.
