Kitchen Steward

A kitchen steward maintains an establishment's kitchen and surrounding areas, keeping them clean and sanitary. As a kitchen steward, you typically work in a commercial kitchen in a restaurant or hotel, reporting to a Kitchen Supervisor or Supervising Steward. Your duties include creating and maintaining a cleaning schedule for the kitchen, cleaning the stoves, ovens, pots, pans, grills, and refrigerators, and washing dishes, glasses, and cutlery. You may also be responsible for polishing silver. Occasionally, a kitchen steward assists with basic cooking tasks like blending soups and prepping vegetables.Meaning 'œrocks'- in the local Malay language, Batu Batu is a rustic island retreat set amongst coconut groves, rocky outcrops and fine sand beaches on the uninhabited island of Pulau Tengah off the east coast of peninsular Malaysia.
