Lab Manager

Responsibilities:- Manage laboratory operations, including overseeing staff, maintaining equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.- Develop and implement laboratory policies and procedures, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality control measures.- Maintain accurate records of laboratory procedures, data, and inventory.- Train and supervise laboratory personnel, including assigning tasks and evaluating performance.- Ensure that laboratory staff adhere to ethical and safety standards in the conduct of experiments and in the handling of laboratory materials and equipment.- Oversee the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment, and ensure that equipment is functioning properly and that any issues are addressed in a timely manner.- Manage laboratory supplies and inventory, including ordering and restocking as necessary.- Collaborate with other departments or researchers to develop experimental protocols and optimize laboratory operations.- Ensure that laboratory meets all regulatory compliance standards.- Provide technical support for laboratory personnel and assist with experimental design and execution as needed.- Stay up-to-date with new laboratory techniques, technologies, and research developments to ensure that laboratory operations are current and efficient.Qualifications:- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a scientific field, such as biology, chemistry, or biochemistry.- Minimum of 5 years of experience in laboratory management or a related field.- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team of laboratory personnel.- Knowledge of laboratory safety and regulatory compliance standards, as well as experience with laboratory equipment maintenance and calibration.- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.- Familiarity with laboratory software.**Department of Human Resource****HOSPITAL UNIVERSITI TUNKU ABDUL RAHMAN****Jalan Hospital, 31900 Kampar, Perak**Ability to commute/relocate:- Kampar: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)**Education**:- Bachelor's (preferred)
