Laboratory Technician

Prepare mineral samples for analysis according to established laboratory procedures.- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including but not limited to X-ray fluorescence (XRF) spectrometers, Microwave Digestion and inductively coupled plasma (ICP) spectrometers.- Conduct various mineral tests such as 4-acid digestion, leaching, and acid/base dissolution tests.- Record and analyze data using computer software and databases.- Ensure that laboratory procedures are carried out in accordance with safety and regulatory standards, including handling hazardous materials and waste.- Maintain laboratory equipment and order supplies as needed.- Communicate results to team members as required.- Perform other duties as assigned by the laboratory manager or supervisor.**Requirements**:- Degree/Diploma in chemistry or a related field - 1-2 years of experience working in a mineral laboratory setting.- Familiarity with laboratory procedures and safety regulations.- Experience using analytical equipment such as XRF, AAS, and ICP spectrometers.- Strong attention to detail and ability to record and analyze data accurately.- Good communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team.**Job Type**: ContractContract length: 12 months**Salary**: RM1,500.00 - RM1,900.00 per month**Education**:- STM/STPM (required)Ability to Commute:- Sandakan (preferred)Ability to Relocate:- Sandakan: Relocate before starting work (preferred)
