Lead a team of Java developers in the design and development of software solutions.- Experience of building software and ensuring the team take account of security, capacity, performance, and high availability requirements.- Knowledge of Agile development frameworks, and the Agile principals, demonstrate these and coach those less experienced.- Work with the other engineering teams to create an environment where high quality software solutions are the standard.- Work with your Agile team to ensure software solutions are delivering value to our end users'.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyse requirements and provide technical expertise.Requirements for the role:- Proficiency in front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).- Be an expert in Java EE, have used ORM and be able to talk about the benefits and drawbacks of using them.- Be familiar with good software engineering techniques and software patterns, understand why they're useful and how they aid software development while nurturing this in others too.- Experience with DevOps and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes).- Experience in consuming and creating APIs.
