Skillsearch is helping a collaborative Game company recruit a Lead Technical Artist, and the role comes with a salary of up to £46,440 and an attractive benefits package.As a Lead Technical Artist, you will serve as the bridge between art, animation, production, and programming. You will also work with art/design disciplines and the engineering team and help provide communication and cohesion between all groups.If you were already in this Lead Technical Artist role, here are some areas you might have been working on this week:- Understanding and maintaining project pipelines- Learning and supporting varying client working environments, assets, and tools- Writing, maintaining and customizing internal tools for the production team- Solving problems in the pipeline and for individuals on as needed- Building and maintaining technical documentation- At least 7 years in a branch of visual effects (film, game dev, tv, etc)- Excellent knowledge of Maya and experience developing Maya tools in Python- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to creatively problem-solve- PyQt/PySide experience.
