Yinson Holdings Berhad is a public limited liability company, incorporated and domiciled in Malaysia, and listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia.- In 2020 Yinson established Yinson Green Technologies in order to develop projects within technologies that help to solve the world's environmental challenges, making the world a better place to live for current and future generations.- We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Legal Counsel to join our fast-paced and innovative Yinson Greentech division within Yinson Group. As a Legal Counsel, you will play a crucial role in providing legal guidance and support to various business functions, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, managing legal risks, and protecting the company's interests. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and executives, advising on a wide range of legal matters.**Responsibilities**:- Advise on legal matters related to the company's investments, divestments, transactions and joint venture agreements, including but not limited to shareholders' agreement, registration and limited partnership agreements, for all related businesses of Yinson Greentech.- Contract drafting and negotiation: Prepare, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts and agreements, including customer contracts, vendor agreements, licensing agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and employment contracts, ensuring they align with the company's objectives and protect its interests.- Compliance and risk management: Develop, implement, and oversee compliance programs to ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. Identify potential legal risks and provide proactive strategies to mitigate them effectively.- Regulatory affairs: Stay updated on relevant legal and regulatory developments impacting the technology industry. Assess the impact of new laws and regulations on the company and recommend appropriate actions to ensure compliance.- Litigation and dispute resolution: Assist in managing legal disputes and litigation matters, working closely with external legal counsel when necessary. Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and support the preparation of defense strategies.- Legal documentation and record-keeping: Maintain accurate and organized legal documentation, records, and contracts. Implement processes and systems for efficient contract management and retrieval.**Qualifications**:- Degree from an accredited law school.- Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction.- 7 years of experience as a practicing attorney, preferably with experience in technology, start-ups, or corporate law.- Strong knowledge of contract law, intellectual property, data protection, and regulatory compliance.- Proven experience in drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts.- Sound judgment and ability to provide practical legal advice in a fast-paced environment.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.- High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.- This job description is intended to convey essential job responsibilities and qualifications.
