POSITION: On Call Housekeeping / Maintenance
REPORTS TO: Facilities Manager, LRCHC
LOCATION: Keller, Washington
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND STANDARDS:
Ability to perform as a team player Maintains positive peer relationships and provides assistance in a friendly, helpful manner to all patients, visitors, and staff. Possesses the ability to work independently, is detail oriented, organized, and works under pressure. Meets deadlines. Must have better than average work attendance record. Demonstrates cultural sensitivity. Understands and practices confidentiality. Ability to perform several duties to completion daily. Responsibilities include housekeeping, and minor maintenance tasks at the Inchelium and possibly the San Poil Valley Health Cente Uses initiative, independent judgment in performance, and with a minimum of supervision. This person is expected to have the skills and job knowledge to maintain a clean environment. Duties are to be done in accordance with established LRCHC policies, procedures and management practices Person must follow all safety, infection control and personal protective equipment requirements
Assist maintenance with inside repairs and maintenance, and grounds keeping that will include: Mowing, weed eating, watering, cleaning sidewalks, parking lots, raking, weeding, painting, maintaining sprinkler system, putting out weed & feed and weed killer.
Minor mechanics on equipment and keeping up overall appearance of building grounds. Responsible for an established housekeeping routine as necessary, involving the following tasks: sweeping, vacuuming, scrubbing, mopping, polishing waxing, disinfecting, dusting, and otherwise cleaning floors, toilets, sinks, showers, walls, exam tables, furniture, equipment, counter tops, windows, interior surfaces, window cleaning (inside and out), refuse disposal. Etc. Responsible for the proper use of cleaning techniques and chemical usage; cleaning duties include wood floor, linoleum, and terrazzo floor surface upkeep. Responsible for daily upkeep for a large area: Medical Clinic Area Lobby Bathrooms Kid’s area Foyer Kitchens Physical Therapy Mental Health Services Dietician/ Nurses Area Dental area after hours Pharmacy-during work hours Exam rooms Doctor’s Offices Conference Room Exercise Room All procedural standards must be followed to assure that a safe environment is maintained, machine capacities are not exceeded and that tools are properly and safely used and maintained. The use of chemical products must follow protocol including labeling, usage, storage, and cleanup. The position requires flexibility in working hours (including nights) and a willingness to carry out all needed housekeeping duties in a consistent and ongoing manner. Performs other duties that may be necessary in the best interest of the organization. Qualifications
Education:
High School Diploma
Experience:
Housekeeping work experiences in a facility requiring sanitizing (preferred) Knowledge of basic infection control practices (preferred) Expernce with ground keeping (preferred) Must pass background check
Licensure:
Valid WA State Driver’s License
Mandatory continuing Education/Certification Requirements
General Department orientation, infection control, Competency, OSHA, MSDS, Infection control, fire and safety education. Background clearance. CPR/First Aid required.
