InchcapeShippingServices Business Need / Purpose of RoleAs a HR Business Partner, you will be an integral member of the HR team and assume responsibility for the Human Resources portfolio across Southeast Asia locations. You will partner with the region's business and functional leaders in the organization to implement, standardize and develop applicable HR process and procedures, aligned to global HR policies.  Ensure the HR process and procedures, governance & controls adheres to group policy and statutory requirements. Ownership of the People and Culture initiatives to enable and drive the business for growth and sustained success. Hands-on approach to drive HR operations as well as the ability to successfully monitor the "pulse" of the employees to ensure a high level of employee engagement. Translate current and future business needs into an integrated strategic workforce plan. Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management ( coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary issues and grievances). Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention. Contribute to group HR projects as required Duties and Responsibilities:  HR Strategy, Leadership and Coordination  Support implementation of Group HR Strategy, Policies and Procedures in Southeast Asia. Lead and support any change agenda, advising on people decisions to drive effectiveness. Ensure that HR issues are given full consideration in all decision making. Ensure effective, fair and equitable management of employees. Provide advice, information and support to business managers, line managers and employees on HR policies and procedures in line with group policy and best practice.  HR Operations  Support HR operations and deliverables in Singapore and Malaysia. Manage end to end HR operations and deliverables across other countries in Southeast Asia Area, ensuring adequate controls and reporting is in place to support the business.  Recruitment  Ensure that the recruitment standards are maintained at the highest practicable level and are professional and rigorous. Involvement in resourcing including interviewing candidates and ensuring onboarding is completed. Support, communicate, train and advise the management team on recruitment initiatives and interviewing techniques. Stay abreast of market data for salaries to assist with salary planning and benchmarking for new roles. Coordinate recruitment with external suppliers (contingent workforce, search firms, job posting agencies, temporary staffing agencies etc.).  Talent Management & Retention  Support talent, retention and succession planning initiatives. Working with the Chief People Officer and regional team on talent management strategy and the annual talent review process. Support, communicate and advise management on their talent development initiatives.  Compensation and Benefits  Works closely with Chief People Officer to consolidate local Compensation Committee recommendations.  Learning and development  Works in line with regional resources to promote and arrange delivery of training that is directly relevant and beneficial to the operations. Manage the annual training and development plan and budget and ensure that all individual training plans are followed up.  Performance Management  Coordinate the performance management of employees, including job description formulation, assessments and promotions. Drive best practice and act as counsel to management on all issues of employee performance.  Legal and Compliance Practices  Ensures up to date employment policy in line with local legislation and group policy are in place. Continual policy and process development and amending and implementing policies and procedures in line with employment law regulation.  Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to support teams remotely and the ability to adjust communication style for different situations and culturesStrong business partner and relationship building capabilities across a diverse international group.Able to understand the business and apply consistency and value adding HR initiatives.Quick thinking and comfortable in a creative setting and a fast-paced environment where each day brings new challenges and rewards.A self-starter; happy to pitch into the day-to-day necessary tasks and priorities long-term projects.Excellent work ethic and grounding of discretion and confidentiality.Able to understand the business and apply consistency and value adding HR initiatives.Quick thinking and comfortable in a creative setting and a fast-paced environment where each day brings new challenges and rewards.A self-starter; happy to pitch into the day-to-day necessary tasks and prioritise long-term projects.Excellent work ethic and grounding of discretion and confidentiality. Education/Experience: - years of experience in HR with suitable experience as a Business Partner / Manger role, and with HR operations experience, preferably in a shipping / port services environment.Experience in driving change and integration.Degree in Human Resources Management or related field Up to date knowledge of local HR policies, processes and tools.Good verbal and written communication skills in English and local languages, in order to communicate with multinational network individuals as well as the local agency.Proven experience of HR systems. Experience in Change and Culture Why Inchcape Shipping Services?
