We simply believe 'Your Career Our Journey'.**_Purpose - _**We empower our people to make a positive difference in our organisation ~ for themselves.**_Recognition - _**We have a strong local presence under the network of a growing global BDO organisation and a credible brand.**Overview**You will primarily undertake work in insolvency and restructuring engagements, including liquidations, receiverships, and monitoring accountant appointments.**Key Responsibilities**- To mainly assist in corporate insolvency assignments (i.e. receiverships and liquidations) in various industries such as manufacturing, and property development.- As part of the team, you will be involved in taking control of companies which have been placed under receivership or liquidation, including the preparation of notices of appointment to relevant parties. Thereafter, you will deal with previous officers of companies, authorities, potential buyers, service providers, contractors, suppliers, creditors, solicitors (including where there are legal actions to be taken/defended) and any other parties which may be required based on the circumstances of each engagement- You will also be engaged in day-to-day operational matters of companies, including management of companies' operations (if the business operations are still in place upon appointment of the receivers and managers or liquidators), drafting of appropriate responses to correspondences received, preparation of progress reports, regular communication with debenture holders, charge banks and/or creditors as well as preparation of statutory reports- Your role includes involvement in the asset realization process, such as the drafting of advertisement for sale, information memorandum, letters of acceptances/rejections and liaising with solicitors on the sale and purchase agreement.- You will also assist in any distributions to be made to stakeholders, including calling for a proof of debt exercise, reviewing documents provided by creditors, provide views in relation to the claims made and preparing relevant documents at the time of any distributions- As a Manager, you will also be leading the team to undertake the necessary work and progress/expedite completion of the engagements. In this role, you will be expected to provide guidance to team members on the work to be performed while ensuring that the receivers and managers/liquidators are kept appropriately informed on key matters (including securing their views and decisions on the same)**Education and professional skills/ knowledge****Experience & Education**:- A recognized degree in Business or equivalent with at least a second class upper classification and / or a Professional Accounting qualification- Minimum 6 years of working experience in insolvency and restructuring engagements**Other skills**- Analytical mindset and possess leadership qualities- Good communication and people management skills- Possessing an analytical mindset, problem solving skills as well as presentation skills- Proficiency in Mandarin would be an advantage
