Manager Legal Operations

Description THE JOB Legal Drafting Draft, structure, finalize, negotiate and manage contractors' contracts, sub-contracts and legal documents pertaining to marine related business and operational matters such as procurement of goods and services, dry-docking activities, port and terminal management, and ship management. Involved in bidding activities and providing the necessary legal services, including risk assessment. Contract Management Ensuring proper management of all signed and stamped contracts Provide legal advice and risk mitigation on existing contractual arrangements upon request and attendance to operational issues. HSSE, Pre-Litigation, P&I and insurance related claims Provide legal services related to vessel incidents and operational issues, P&I insurance claims relating to vessels/tugboats and other insurance related claims for shore personnel and arising from crewing activities. Manage and supervise the overall vessel incidents matters, and P&I and other insurance related claims. Business Partner Act as a Business Partner for manning entities and crewing related matters. Provide legal services for manning activities in relevant jurisdictions such as Malaysia, India, Philippines, UK, Netherlands and Brazil. Act as a legal assistance to internal stakeholders. Legal Advice on Relevant Laws Advise, manage and monitor the developments in the law (UK, EU and international) relating to the Company business. Provide briefing to stakeholders as and when required. Stakeholder Management Manage and develop continuous strong relationship building both with external and internal customers, MISC group stakeholders, authorities and etc. Leadership Supervision of Executives including providing coaching and guidance. THE PERSON Possessed atleast Bachelor Degree of Law or equivalent. Preferably candidate who experienced in Commercial, Maritime, Employment and Corporate Law. Solid Drafting, Negotiation and Risk Assessment Skills. Able to work under tight deadlines and under pressure. Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience.
