**Basic Job Functions**:A Manager of Manufacturing Finance System provides financial leadership to manufacturing site, collaborates with multiple disciplines, and provides analytical insight to site and global leadership. The role further supports a range of value-added insights including development and continuous improvement in ERP and EPM to enable robust system that provides reliable monthly close and forecasting process & system. The role would manage a team of financial analysts.**Education/Experience**:- Bachelor's degree in finance or IT related field, required- MBA or Master's degree in finance related field, preferred- 10+ years combined experience working for a public multi-national company and / or a public accounting firm;- Industry experience with manufacturing (required), renewable energy and / or technology, preferred;- Experience working with international teams;- Demonstrated history of agility and ability to manage change in a fast paced and high growth environment;- Experience preparing and/or presenting annual budgets, short-term plans, operational metrics, and monthly actual and forecast results to site leadership;- Experience in plant controllership and driving cost reduction projects; and- Proven track record of developing value driven business process transformation that fosters collaborative functional leader buy in, system improvements, and cost efficient business processes.**Required Skills/Competencies**:- Strong business acumen and ability to identify and succinctly communicate financial system issues, opportunities, or threats to the operating and financial performance of the manufacturing site; possess an in-depth understanding of concepts and principles within own discipline and have a basic commercial awareness and business acumen within other disciplines; expert in enterprise resource management and financial planning systems;- Solid oral and written communication with a proven ability to distill information for its intended audience and an ability to negotiate internally and often at higher levels in the organization;- Strong numerical proficiency, organizational, problem-solving skills and use of logic;- Ability to operate effectively within a global multi-cultural organization and collaborate cross functionally;- Serve as a positive, energetic agent of change and improvement within Company- Efficient at performing and reviewing analysis, spotting errors, and teaching others to review while establishing high quality standards of performance and identifying opportunities to provide value-added analysis beyond basic actuals, forecasts, budgets, and reports- A strong working knowledge of financial systems related to U.S. GAAP cost accounting- Proficient use of all Microsoft Office suite programs;- Experience in ERP systems (Oracle) preferred;- Experience in EPM systems (Anaplan) preferred**Essential Responsibilities**:- Provide support in development and continuous improvement in ERP and EPM- Provides business partnering for manufacturing site while possessing an ability to identify and succinctly communicate financial opportunities / threats to the operating and financial performance of the company;- Ensure the ERP and EPM systems well supporting finance team to develop and report on corporate-wide manufacturing and operational performance metrics for product costing and inventory management while assisting the business to drive cost reductions initiatives locally;- Ensure the ERP and EPM systems well supporting the development of the Company's long term and short term financial projections, department budgets, cash flow projections, and any operational or strategic initiatives to maximize profitability and/or enable cost reduction initiatives;- Collaborate with IT and other functional leaders to implement business processes, systems, reporting, and process enhancements that are cost effective, scalable, and compliant with Sarbanes-Oxley (404);- The ability to work collaboratively with external auditors to support quarterly reviews, annual audits, and timely resolution of accounting or Sarbanes-Oxley (404) issues;- Other duties as assigned; and- Manages the goals, development, and efficient deployment of a team of financial analysts;- Ensure compliance with Quality, Environment, Health and Safety and Responsible Business Alliance policies and procedures that is enforced within the organization.**Reporting Relationships**:- Reports to the Head of Financial Analysis, or Senior Manager - Manufacturing Finance- Oversee local teams, approximately 2-3 direct reports**Travel**:- U.S. and international travel of typically not to exceed 20% of time, required- Equal Opportunity Employer Statement: First Solar is an Equal Opportunity Employer that values and respects the importance of a diverse and inclusive workforce.
