Job Overview: Works with the project manager and project controls manager to manage the project planning activities. To ensure timely and accurate preparation and maintenance of schedules and progress reports for all aspects of work including engineering, procurement, fabrication and installation. This includes the development and maintenance of project master schedules, milestone schedules and interface schedules, also interfacing with client PMT members and sub-contractors

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

- Leads development and integration of detailed CPM project plans and schedules at required levels, covering specific work phases and activities for each functional area - engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation, hook-up and commissioning.
- Reviews work scope with Functional Groups to ensure full scope inclusion in schedule and define logic, interfaces and interdependencies between activities.
- Ensures methods are in place to measure, report and monitor project progress against plan with periodic presentation of report analysis to PMT and Client.
- Provide schedule analysis and timely identify potential delays and establish mitigating measures and corrective actions.
- Provides input to various reports generated for Clients as well as internal management reviews.
- Ensures subcontractor's scheduling, planning and progress measurement systems and procedures are in place, valid and effective
- Works closely with Cost Control Team to establish the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
- Provides input to support progress or milestone invoicing purposes as applicable
- Manage the identification of change to schedule with assessment and incorporation of change impacts and consequential analysis.
- Take an active role in schedule review, validation and risk assessment workshops
- Ensures that all input to the project plan is accurate and consistent with the logic network
- Manage any required development of planning related methods and procedures, ensuring compliance with company and client requirements.
- Provides man-hour and manpower figures and trends for cost analysis, including impact assessment of delays through project phases.
- As a Chief Planner role, leads team of project planners and provide direction and guidance to the Planning team as required. Coordinate activities with planning team based at Fabrication location.

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor Degree or Degree in Engineering/construction/business or related field or equivalent combinations of technical training or experience.
- Must have working experience with relevant planning specialist software such as Primavera
- Working knowledge of MS Office including MS project.
