**Responsibilities**:This role, an Asia-based member of the Global Legal Services team, is responsible for direct and indirect supply chain agreements, and purchase of materials, parts, and professional services regionally and globally; drafting and negotiation; ensuring compliance with laws and Lam's corporate polices. Responsibilities for the position we are seeking to fill include:- Negotiate, prepare, and draft complex direct and indirect materials and services purchasing, warehousing, logistics, and collaboration agreements- Advise supply chain and other business units to achieve business objectives while protecting Lam's confidential information and intellectual property rights- Provide strategic and transaction support and partnership to management and operations in support of company vision and other objectives- Contribute to and assist in developing and delivering training, communications, playbooks, contract templates, processes and procedures for providing effective and efficient legal support- Provide timely and effective legal advice on a wide variety of corporate and commercial legal issues, including but not limited to commercial, intellectual property, data security and privacy, antitrust, environmental, health and safety, and product safety laws- Provide timely general legal support as assigned- Monitor and communicate legal developments, follow up or escalate as applicable to ensure business has process to comply; monitor, communicate, and follow up on such developments- Interpret and communicate requirements to business units under identified company policies- Domestic and international travel may be required**Minimum Qualifications**- J.D. or equivalent from a top law school- Bar membership or equivalent Malaysia licensure; UK, California or other US state bar membership preferred- A minimum of 7 years licensed practice in a law firm or a responsible in-house position, including significant experience providing legal support for a multinational company- Strong knowledge of the common law principles, Malaysian commercial law and practices, CISG and jurisdictions would be a plus- Demonstrated experience and strength with contract drafting and negotiation, in particular in direct materials purchasing agreements- Well-rounded understanding of antitrust, supply chain regulatory compliance, and ethics and compliance regulations, policies and processes- Background or experience in the semiconductor industry is a plus**Preferred Qualifications**- Have excellent English spoken and written communication skills, and the ability to create high quality documents and discuss and explain complex technical and legal matters with legal and non-legal business partners; similar skills in Bahasa Malay required; other languages and dialects a plus- Have a strong process experience & orientation, be organized and results-oriented- Be adept at balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment- Be fluent with MSOffice tools, and confident working with documents in a digitized environment- Be able to work independently with limited supervision, across time zones and cultures to support significant international operations and coordinate with remote resources, in a highly matrixed environment- Be a highly effective team player who can implement a shared vision, energize others, challenge the status quo and drive change within the organizations- Have a roll-up your sleeves attitude, be creative, innovative, concise, accessible and approachable**Our Commitment**We believe it is important for every person to feel valued, included, and empowered to achieve their full potential.
