Network Engineer

Responsibilities:
- Support, installation and administration of routers, switches, Windows Servers, Windows desktops, Printers in a networked environment.- Administers network user security on Windows servers and PCs.- Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, monitoring and controlling system security for company local area network firewall, routers, switches and internet.- Support company’s LAN & VPN client/server accessibility on leased lines and broadband communication linking multiple office locations nationwide.- Maintain and upgrade infrastructure documentation and licensing inventory.- Troubleshoots and resolves PC hardware and software problems in a networked environment.- Responds to end user support requests and questions.- Work effectively with outsource WAN link providers to maintain expected level of IPVPN services.
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least Degree/Diploma in Computer Science/ Information Technology, Networking or its equivalent.- Minimum 4 years experience with IT Operations, Infrastructure Services support and end user support.- Strong knowledge of Internet/Intranet/extranet; Network infrastructure development/ deployment (LAN, WAN and Wireless technology).- Network architecture and protocols: TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, SMTP, FTP, NetBIOS, VLAN Routing and IP address management.- Experience on router and core switch configuration.- Manage Window based IP infrastructure including Active Directory, Domain Name Servers and File/Print Services- Managing perimeter security devices such as portal servers (IIS), firewalls and proxy servers will be an advantage.- Able to work independently with good management, communication and interpersonal skills.- Hands-on knowledge for the following devices are also added advantage i.e. iPhone, Blackberry and other PDAs.- Willing to travel and work in 5½ days week job.
