Occupational/Speech Therapist

Requirements- Bachelor degree in Speech-Language Pathology/ Occupational Therapy from accredited program- At least 1 year working experience in paediatric setting- Passionate and have patience in treating paediatric case- Strong communication and interpersonal skill to work effectively with patients, families and other healthcare- Organised and detail-oriented**Responsibilities**:Assessment and Evaluation:i) Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' physical, emotional, and speech/functional abilities.ii) Identify specific goals and objectives based on assessment findings.Treatment Planning and Implementation:i) Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address clients' unique needs and goals.ii) Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques, exercises, and interventions to improve clients' speech/functional abilities.iii) Monitor and adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure progress.Client Education:i) Educate clients and their families on adaptive techniques, equipment, and strategies to promote independence.ii) Provide guidance on home exercises and activities to enhance therapy outcomes.Collaboration and Documentation:i) Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, nurses, and rehabilitation specialists, to coordinate care.ii) Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and progress notes.Crisis Intervention:i) Address any crisis situations or emotional challenges that may arise during therapy sessions.Compliance and Ethics:i) Adhere to ethical and professional standards, ensuring client confidentiality and informed consent.Location of work:Lighthouse child therapy & rehab centre5094, GF, 3110, Kampung Benggali, 12200 Butterworth, Penang**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Contract, Temporary, Freelance, Internship, Fresh graduateContract length: 24 monthsPart-time hours: 40 per week**Salary**: RM3,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month**Benefits**:- Flexible schedule- Health insuranceSchedule:- Monday to FridaySupplemental pay types:- Overtime pay- Performance bonusExpected Start Date: 11/15/2023
