**About the role**As the Operations Manager at StashAway, you are responsible for overseeing the smooth running of the daily banking and trading operational functions that facilitate the processing of our customers' transactions. You will manage and lead an efficient team to ensure that key daily operational tasks are executed with precision. The Operations team works closely with the Client Engagement, Technology and Compliance teams to deliver the best client experience possible.You enjoy constantly thinking of ways to make complicated tasks efficient and scalable, while keeping a keen eye on the big picture. You are comfortable with continuous learning-on-the-job and grasp complex topics quickly. You are also adept at thinking on your feet to solve problems in a creative and holistic manner.Reporting into the Head of Operations, this is a group level role and includes operations for all 5 StashAway entities: Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, MENA, Thailand**Responsibilities**:- Oversee the day-to-day operational chain (e.g. daily fund transfers for the business, investigation of flagged transactions and risk screening of customers) to ensure that all crucial cut-off times are consistently met.- Provide effective support and mentoring to the team of Banking & Trading Operations Executives & team leads to facilitate their personal development.- Handle business operations tasks such as Custodian Suitability Assessment reports and maintaining the documentation of Operations' procedures.- Take ownership of end-to-end operational process flows and continuously find ways to improve the efficiency of such processes.- Investigate and resolve complex issues related to onboarding and transactions (e.g. stalled withdrawals, reconciliation errors) together with our Technology team and external stakeholders such as our banking and brokerage partners.- Support the Head of Operations in strategic choices concerning tech roadmap prioritisation and unit economics improvements**Requirements**:- At least 5 years of experience in Operations or similar roles, including at least 1 year of team management experience. Previous team management experience is a must.- Bachelor degree, preferably in the following disciplines, e.g. Business Management, Operations, Finance, Accounting and an analytical bent.- Strong communication skills in English with the ability to engage multiple stakeholders to resolve issues.
