As a Property and Casualty (P&C) Senior Consultant in our Insurance Consulting and Technology (ICT) team, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of a variety of projects including IFRS 17, pricing and predictive analytics, reserve valuation, RBC, and merger & acquisitions for our clients mainly across Southeast Asia.
You will be responsible for reviewing the analysis and explaining the results whilst working closely with other analysts and consultants and to ensure timely delivery of projects. Many of the projects will involve using WTW's market leading actuarial software and techniques to produce customised solutions for our clients. In addition to project delivery, you will also be responsible for client communication, project management, and business development activities.
The Role Serve as the project manager, ensuring the progress against established project scope, budget, timeline, deliverables and quality standards Serve as the day-to-day contact for clients on delivery of services, while managing client expectations Deliver on projects to meet or exceed client expectations Work as part of a multidisciplinary consulting team to analyse issues and develop value-added solutions for the clients Develop a trusted advisor relationship with client contacts through effective communication and efficient, quality execution of projects Participate in business development activities and work with the team to develop go-to-market propositions Draft statements of work, project plans and budgets involving multiple workstreams and clientteams Meet billable hours targets and manage project financials efficiently Build strong relationships internally and collaborate effectively on cross-functional teams Serve as mentor to less experienced team members Deliver high-quality work in compliance with excellence standards and proactively look to improve the process Manage time effectively between multiple concurrent assignments Strong understanding of the insurance industry across Southeast Asia
The Requirements Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or any other related quantitative fields 7 - 12 years of general insurance experience, preferably with some consulting or regional experience Good progress with actuarial exams from recognised International Actuarial bodies Strong technical understanding and working experience in IFRS 17, reserving, pricing and/or M&A Familiar with insurance regulations and market in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and/or Indonesia Familiarity with WTW's software (e.g., Emblem, Radar, ResQ and/or ResQ Financial Reporter) is a plus Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and presentation skills Proven experience in successfully managing multiple projects and producing quality deliverables on time and within budget Self-driven achiever, and able to work independently with minimal supervision Good time management skills, and able to manage multiple concurrent projects efficiently Able to see the "big picture" and think beyond the task at hand and understand how one's work fits into the broader landscape Equal Opportunity Employer
