Job Description:
Partner (General Litigation)
1.Case Management and Court Representation: Attend case management, trials, and hearings across a diverse range of litigation matters, encompassing commercial disputes, employment disputes and civil litigation.
2.Legal Advisory: Provide strategic legal advice to clients on litigation matters, assessing risks, and advising on potential outcomes.
3.Strategic Leadership: Lead and manage the litigation practice, setting strategic direction, and implementing initiatives to drive growth and profitability.
4.Client Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and providing tailored legal solutions and advice.
5.Compliance and Ethics: Ensure compliance with all legal and ethical standards, maintaining the highest level of professionalism and integrity in all interactions and transactions.
Partner (Conveyancing) Based in PJ / Kuantan
1.Transaction Management: Oversee and manage a diverse portfolio of real estate transactions, including property purchases, sales, leases, tenancies, land acquisitions, loan documents perfection of transfer and charge and discharge of charge/receipt and reassignment.
2.Legal Advisory: Provide strategic legal advice to clients on property-related matters, including land use restrictions, and property development projects.
3.Strategic Leadership: Lead and manage the conveyancing practice, setting strategic direction and implementing initiatives to drive growth, profitability, and operational efficiency.
4.Client Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and providing tailored legal solutions and advice related to property transactions.
5.Compliance and Ethics: Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements, maintaining the highest level of professionalism and integrity in all interactions and transactions.
Pupil
1.Legal Research: Conduct legal research on relevant statutes, case law, and legal precedents.
2.Document Drafting: Assist in drafting legal documents, including pleadings, affidavits, contracts, and agreements, under the guidance and supervision of senior lawyers.
3.Court Attendance: Assist partner(s) in court proceedings and hearings.
4.Case Management: Assist in the management of case files and documents, including organising and maintaining case files, preparing trial bundles, and managing correspondence with clients and opposing parties.
5.Legal Writing: Prepare legal opinions, memoranda, and other written materials on various legal issues, providing analysis and recommendations based on legal research and case law.
6.Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to lawyers and legal staff, including filing documents, scheduling appointments, and coordinating meetings. Qualifications and Requirements:
Partner (General Litigation)
1.Experience: Minimum 5 years in handling litigation matters
2.Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to speak and write in Mandarin is an added advantage.
3.Independent Work: Ability to lead the litigation team and work independently, demonstrating initiative, self-motivation, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
4.Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse complex legal issues and devise effective legal strategies.
5.Client Management: Good client management skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and understand their needs.
Partner (Conveyancing) Based in PJ / Kuantan
1.Experience: Minimum 5 years in handling conveyancing matters (project and sub-sales).
2.Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to speak and write in Mandarin is an added advantage.
3.Independent Work: Ability to lead the conveyancing team and work independently, demonstrating initiative, self-motivation, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
4.Client Management: Good client management skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and understand their property-related needs.
Pupil
1.Academic Qualification: Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) or equivalent law degree from a recognized institution.
2.Good Standing: Good academic standing with a strong academic record and demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in law.
3.Language and Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills in both English and Bahasa malaysia. Ability to speak and write in Mandarin is an added advantage.
4.Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges and responsibilities, and to take on tasks and assignments across different practice areas as required.
