Physical Therapists work closely with their patients to help them heal and promote overall wellness, providing services that help restore function, improve mobility and relieve pain. From identifying problems to developing and implementing a care plan, these specialists stay involved as long as necessary so that Airmen can resume healthy, active lifestyles.
Primary Responsibilities
Plan, develop and manage physical therapy treatment, procedures and programs
Develop and implement teaching programs and research related to physical therapy
Evaluate patients and determine the type and frequency of treatment necessary
Make recommendations regarding the use of braces and other related support appliances
Act as a consultant to medical staff on physical therapy matters

Qualifications
This is an active duty position as an AirForce officer. To be considered, you must meet the following requirements:
Entry-level doctorate (DPT) or transitional DPT, or be within one year of graduation
A current license to practice in a state or territory of the United States
A DPT student able to enter active duty by August of the year applying (45 days prior to entry the student must provide conferred transcripts and proof of valid physical therapy state licensure)
Completion of five-and-a-half-week Commissioned Officer Training course
Must be between the ages of 18 and 41
Must be willing to relocate
