Your JobAs a Plating Process Engineer at Molex Malaysia (Penang), you'll be the key player in create, set specifications, develop, implement, and monitor the equipment or these processes as part of manufacturing system to achieve profitable growth and make Molex the preferred supplier. Your role will be to work with people across the manufacturing system including R&D, production staff, management, QA and even customer.Our TeamYou will be an integral part of a team that liaises closely with various internal stakeholders, such as Stamping, Auto Assembly, Mechanical Engineering Engineers/Managers, Product Management, and others, to deliver exceptional service to our customers. Externally, you will interact with purchasing, procurement, and technical teams to ensure Molex's offerings align with customer needs and expectations.What You Will DoPrimary drivers for yield, quality, and improvement projects. Responsible for the yield and quality KPI.The coordinator for new development projects, new products and new equipment's buys off at plating production.To carry out and oversee cost reduction and improvement projects.Responsible for reviewing and updating the FMEA, procedures and SOPs.Leading a group of technicians for newly assigned projects.Analyze SPC data and ensure process capabilities are within the specification.Redefine products and material specifications to improve the manufacturability.Involve in cross function teamwork to tackle and resolve any complaints by customers and reduce process COPQ.Initiate, plan, and supervise weekly/monthly preventive maintenance activity.Support company Social Responsibility / TS 16949 / ISO 14001 / IATF 16949, Six Sigma etc.Continues improvement activities needed to reduce quality issue.Support ME department for improvement activities related to plating department.Involves all activities related to the plating department.Performed other duties as/when assigned by supervisor / leader /HOD.Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)You possess a degree in Engineering or a related field. You have a minimum of 2 years of work experience with a technical background in the Plating industry and Wastewater Treatment Plant.What Will Put You AheadPrior experience as a Process Engineer within the electronics plating sector. A history of achieving or exceeding KPI.Strong familiarity with Molex products and services. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with others department.
