Roles & ResponsibilitiesTo carry out the professional duties of a teacher as circumstances may require and in accordance with the school's policies under the direction of the school's Principal. The teacher shall be responsible for:Pedagogy:- Employing effective pedagogy that enables children to become successful learners who achieve personal excellence by:- Building learning-focused relationships- Empowering children to become or prepare to be independent learners- Using assessment information to plan progression for the differing needs of learners in class- Using appropriate assessment tools for formative and summative assessment- Providing high quality feedback to learners- Encouraging children to reflect on their learning- Engaging children in the construction of their learning processes- Involving parents in their children's learning through regular parent-teacher dialogue.- Use relevant ICT to improve students' learning and differentiate instruction.- Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development.- Demonstrating a high level of relevant curriculum knowledge- Incorporating relevant thinking and reflective skills into the curriculum- Preparing and presenting informative reports to parents and other stakeholders as required- Teaching all elementary grades in the school- Actively engaging in teacher learning and development- Continually seeking to improve learning and teaching strategies- Developing knowledge and skills related to primary education- Actively engaging in the school's appraisal procedures Other projects, duties and responsibilities- Having a working knowledge of teachers' professional duties and legal liabilities- Operating at all times within the stated policies and practices of the school- Establishing effective and appropriate relationships with colleagues and parents- Setting a good example through presentation and personal and professional conduct- Co-operating with other staff to ensure sharing and effective usage of resources to the benefit of the school and learners- Contributing to the corporate life of the school through effective participation in meetings and management systems necessary to coordinate the management of the school.- Taking part in marketing and liaison activities such as Open Days and events with other stakeholders- Any other reasonable request from a manager to undertake work of a similar level that is not specified in this job description**Requirements**:- At least a Bachelor's degree in Education/ Teaching or equivalent.- Higher degree or recognized professional qualification (preferred) Evidence of continued relevant professional development.- PGDE and/or PGCE is preferable.- More than 3 years of teaching experience in a similar or related environment, minimum 5 years for HOD position.- Demonstrate an acute and deep understanding of a primary/ secondary school curriculum- Teaching or pedagogical skills.- Passion for developing young learners.- Absolute fluency in English (the medium of instruction)**Job Types**: Full-time, Contract**Salary**: From RM2,000.00 per month**Benefits**:- Dental insurance- Health insurance- Maternity leave- Meal provided- Opportunities for promotion- Professional developmentSchedule:- Day shiftApplication Question(s):- How ling is your notice period?**Education**:- Bachelor's (required)Application Deadline: 12/15/2023Expected Start Date: 01/02/2024
