Primary Teacher

BrightSpark Teachers are working closely with an international school in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, who have an opportunity for an Upper Key Stage 2 Primary Teacher, to start in August 2020.

Candidates are required to hold a teaching qualification, specialising in Primary Education or a related field. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years experience teaching Primary level in the UK or following the IPC/PYP curriculum.

The school opened in early 2017 and focuses on providing a mix of the British curriculum alongside the best of Asian values and education to give students a truly world-class, international education. The school provides students with a quality education at all levels, and accepts students at aged 3 into the early years program, then onto the International Primary Curriculum for ages 5-11. Students can progress onto the British secondary system with key stages 3, taking iGCSE exams.

The school’s self contained campus and excellent facilities are located just outside of Johor Bahru, the southernmost city in Malaysia. ‘JB’, as it’s known locally, is Malaysia’s second largest city and is home to all the usual local and international activities, entertainment, shopping and food that you could need to be at home in Malaysia. Just a 5 minute train ride from Singapore, or a short flight to Kuala Lumpur or any of Malaysia’s stunning Islands, JB is well placed to provide a springboard to the rest of Asia, with lower living costs than the capital.

About The School
The school teaches the IPC curriculum for Primary, the British curriculum for secondary, and the iGCSE curriculum. The school offers large lecture halls and classrooms, computer labs and science labs and state of the art facilities that include a swimming pool, track and field arena, multipurpose hall, gym and dance studios.
